The Liere Agency was founded in 1992 by President, Leslie Liere, in College Station, Texas. In the years to follow, the company experienced steady growth, and now provides exceptional insurance services for various clients throughout the state of Texas. The Liere Agency has been recognized as a 2007 and 2008 Aggie 100. The Aggie 100 identifies, recognizes and celebrates the 100 fastest growing Aggie-owned or Aggie-led businesses in the world. The Aggie 100 not only celebrates their success, it also provides a forum to pass lessons to the next generation of Aggie entrepreneurs. One-of-a-kind at the college level, the Aggie 100 was created by Mays Business School's Center for New Ventures and Entrepreneurship. The Center provides encouragement, education, networking and assistance to entrepreneurially-minded students, faculty and Texas businesses.
Leslie Liere has over 20 years of experience in insurance and related industries. He graduated in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree at Texas A&M University. On top managing one of the fastest growing insurance firms in Texas, Leslie is a lifetime member of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo and currently serves on their speakers committee. He is a member of the 12th Man Foundation Advisory Board, a member of the Development Council for the College of Agriculture, and a member of the Chancellor's Century Council at Texas A&M University. Leslie is recognized by the Texas A&M Foundation as a member of the Legacy Society for his generous contributions to Texas A&M University. He is also recognized as an Eppright Distinguished Donor for his contributions to the Texas A&M Athletics. The Eppright Distinguished Donors program is sponsored jointly by the 12 Man Foundation and Texas A&M Athletic Department as a premier organization for the recognition of those who have made a commitment to lifetime giving in support of Aggie Athletics. And finally, Leslie is a lifetime member of the Bryan/College Station Chamber of Commerce.
